Fertile land that’s ready for growing businesses

White County, Indiana has become home to growing businesses thanks to extensive planning and an enthusiastic, welcoming attitude. Local leaders have identified prime sites throughout the county that offer the resources and amenities today’s growing businesses need, and have worked in conjunction with utility providers and the transportation industry to ensure that these sites are ready for development. Which is right for your business? We’ll be happy to take you through the choices and answer your questions.

MID-AMERICA COMMERCE PARK

More than 600 acres (3,642 mu) of developable land, including Indiana Certified Shovel-Ready Gold parcels, means there is plenty of room to grow. The park is located just one mile (1.6 km) from Interstate 65, so trucks can be operating at Interstate speed in just minutes. The park’s utility and service infrastructure is in place, including large volumes of natural gas, electricity, water, and wastewater (see the Utilities page for more details), and the entire park is within a Tax Increment Finance (TIF) area, offering significant cost savings. Phase II will incorporate more than 2,000 acres, so there’s even more space for future expansions.

The park is ideally suited for companies that use rail. The onsite Hoosier Lift transload facility offers a fast way to load and unload railcars. It’s served by the Toledo, Peoria, & Western Railroad, a Genesee & Wyoming company, with connections to the nearby CSX mainline.

MONTICELLO PROFESSIONAL PARK

Conveniently located to all the amenities available in Monticello, this park provides 100 Indiana Certified Shovel-Ready acres, all within a TIF area. Complete utilities and infrastructure are already in place (see the Utilities page for more details).

BROOKSTON RETAIL SPACE

Two busy highways meet in the center of Brookston, a bedroom community for the Greater Lafayette area that’s just 10 miles north of the Purdue University campus. Economically priced commercial space is available in this high-traffic retail area.
